Dr. Ellen Paquin
Dr. Ellen Paquin is originally from a small island off the coast of Maine and has called New Albany home for the past four years. She earned her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College, a women’s liberal arts college in Massachusetts, and went on to attend Dartmouth Medical School, where she also completed her residency training. She became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 2015.
Dr. Paquin is a dedicated member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has also been involved with the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists. Her passion for women’s health began early in life and was reinforced through her experiences at a women’s college and during medical school. She values the opportunity to support women through every stage of life — from their first birth control visit to pregnancy and the transition through menopause.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Paquin enjoys running, hiking, and travel. She is on a personal mission to run a marathon in all 50 states and has completed races in 35 so far. Her travels have taken her to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, including Nepal, Australia, Easter Island, Chile, and Egypt.
Dr. Paquin is married and has two sons, ages 13 and 18, as well as a golden retriever named Jerry. She is proud to be part of the New Albany OB/GYN team, where she is inspired daily by the compassionate and committed group of women she works alongside, all dedicated to providing excellent care to their patients.
